The result

We created beautifully lit areas that seamlessly evolved with transitions in atmosphere and purpose helping to make a magical setting worthy of happy memories.

The brief

We were asked to provide full event management and production services for a country wedding in the grounds of a private thatched cottage. Along with providing marquees, staging, furniture and PA, we were also tasked with providing lighting throughout the marquee and grounds. The brief was to provide pretty and delicate lighting effects as the afternoon drew in to the evening and then to gradually evolve in to more of a party atmosphere as the live bands took to the stage later on.

The solution

We flew a central truss down the middle of the marquee and importantly we encased this in white truss socks to minimise its visual impact on the overall look of the event space and to hide all the cabling. On to this, we carefully rigged controllable pin spot lights for each table, and subtle wash lights for the walls. Down each side, we positioned elegant white pedestals that provided support of intelligent projection lights for both gentle colour washes and enchanting patterns on the ceiling. The stunning grounds were accentuated by uplighting trees and foliage to provide depth and perspective, and intricate runs of 'pea' and festoons lights to guide the guests around the garden.
